Recently I’ve developed an obsession. Ok, it’s been an obsession for a while but for years I just didn’t give in and basically stayed away. My obsession? IKEA.
Oh! From the fabulously priced furniture to their cute artwork and kitchen decor, I can find almost everything I need inside those blue and yellow walls.
Since we have a location 15 minutes from our home it’s hard to resist temptation and just drive out to go check out what they might have. But resist I did. Until a few months ago when we were looking for a replacement for our couch and knew we didn’t want to purchase an expensive one from La-Z-Boy just yet (you know… kids ruin everything).
So in December we headed out to check out their couches.
And then something unexpected (but so totally IKEAesque) happened. I fell in love with an entertainment unit. Yes, folks, it can happen!
After a few long conversations with my husband I not only convinced him we should get the couch but that we should also get the entertainment unit as well. Oh, and to paint the wall in the living room red.
Well… that last part didn’t take much convincing but boy was there a ton of eye rolling!
So in the past few months we’ve been back a few times for “little things” that usually end up being $100 runs. Dangerous! However IKEA can also be quite helpful! And this weekend they’re hosting a Life Improvement Seminar in the store!
