This post is sponsored by Sharp Healthcare and gives great information about free health screenings in  San Diego through Summer.

When was the last time you had your blood sugar or cholesterol checked? Not sure or can’t remember the results?

Sharp HealthCare is offering free health screenings – now through September – at various locations through San Diego County. You don’t even need to be a Sharp patient to get a screening.

And time is no excuse! The screenings take only 15 minutes to complete and will give you personalized information about indicators that can help determine your risk of developing chronic health conditions. You keep the only copy of your results (not Sharp) to use as you wish.

This is a great way to check in and make sure that you’re doing the right things for your body.

The community health screenings will take five key measurements:

  • Total cholesterol / HDL ratio
  • Blood sugar
  • Body mass index (BMI)
  • Blood pressure
  • Tobacco use

No appointment is necessary, and there’s no need to prepare or fast before the screenings. Adults over the age of 18 are welcome.

There’s no cost to you. Sharp is offering free health screenings as part of its commitment to improving the health of the San Diego community. It’s one of the many ways Sharp is striving each day to make San Diego a healthier place to live. Learn more about Sharp’s efforts to meet the health needs of the San Diego community.
