Recently I logged on to GaiamTV to watch Happy a documentary on happiness in the world. After meeting and hearing Carol Kline speak at the Women’s Health Conference a few months back and reading her book Happy for No Reason I’ve been on a journey to finding happiness myself.

When I finished the book I knew I wanted to learn more about the subject. That’s when I found Happy.

In watching this documentary I realized that I am not alone in my pursuit to find happiness. But I really don’t have to look far. For my happiness is inside of me and I just have to hone what I already know to simply be happy. While enjoying my children and striving to be happier I commit to the following things in the new year:

• More family time, less work
• At least one vacation to visit family
• Less stress about housework
• Read more
• Try one new thing a month

With these goals in mind I hope to have a very happy 2013 and hope to raise my happiness set point.
