Traveling in Style with a Chico Bohemian Sling

When I go out the door one of the first things I make sure I have (after the kids) is a reusable shopping bag or two. We typically keep all of the bags we have in our trunk but I’ve found that they start to deplete rather quickly after a few trips to the store.

We may or may not forget to bring the bags back to the trunk.

So when I heard of ChicoBag’s Sling I knew I had found the perfect reusable bag to take with me wherever I go.

Instead of having to pick up bags wherever I went in NYC (including the BlogHer’12 Expo), I simply pulled out my Sling and put it over my shoulder to carry anything I needed. I felt comfortable carrying even the heaviest load because the Sling fit perfectly across my chest allowing my shoulder a bit of rest.

And the size of the bag when expanded was a great help!

The best part about this bag is that it starts out compact and then expands to an amazing size! My daughter tried to wear it like a purse but it kept slipping down because it was too big! While traveling it comfortably fit my notebook, sweater, and flip flops (you know… in case I was sick of walking in my shoes and needed a break).

The shell that goes over the bag when in the compact form turns into a pocket on the inside of the bag when the bag is out. That means that anything that would normally get lost in a reusable bag (keys, pens, cell phones, business cards) is safely stored inside the bag in an easily accessible pocket.

When I wasn’t wearing the Sling across my chest, I simply stuffed it back into the pocket and attached it to my purse to carry with me everywhere just in case I needed an extra bag!

The fact that this Sling comes with a hook to snap onto anything makes it very accessible. I am never without it nor do I have an excuse for forgetting it. I just have to fold it back up and into the little bag it comes with and re-attach it to my purse!

No room inside the purse? That’s ok! It is super cute and looks great on the outside as well.
