I absolutely love comfortable clothing. Having pieces in my wardrobe that I can put on and feel relaxed in is at the top of my list when I go shopping.
And for the most part I live in jeans and a t-shirt.
But when I want to change things up from the norm and look somewhat stylish yet maintain a level of comfort I turn to dresses. Especially ones I can dress up or down when needed.
I recently stumbled upon Yala Designs, an amazing site that carries organic cotton and bamboo clothing and immediately wanted everything they carried. From dresses, to bags and accessories, to pajamas; every piece looked comfortable and stylish.
I was lucky enough to receive this soft bamboo Izzy dress in blue bayou in the mail the other day along with a block print scarf in blue blossom. As soon as I opened the package I wanted to try the dress on! And as soon as the tags were off I didn’t want to take it off.
I would have worn the dress to bed. That’s how comfortable I was!
Now the dress is a tad clingy so if you’re worried about your stomach showing or excess anything just wear some tummy control clothing and you’ll look great! I wore my tummy control leggings in the picture above and was very comfortable. I could also see myself switching out tanks to layer underneath when going out.
And the Yala Designs website has a great video for the dress to show the different style options available so that you can not only see how the dress moves on the model but you can get an idea of how to style it!
I absolutely love how I can go casual or a little dressy with a few additional items and my Izzy dress. I cannot wait to take this dress to BlogHer’12 in NYC in August. Not only will this be an easy dress to pack, it’s also lightweight so I won’t be sweating everywhere.
Plus I can easily dress it down for the sessions during the day and jazz it up for the parties and social events at night! I love a versatile piece of clothing. And by adding the gorgeous cotton scarf to the dress I just take the look up a notch.

I like that they have natural fiber clothing, but that dress looks SO short.
Great how the clothing is versatile for casual and going-out wear; a great cost-saver.
