One of the best ways for me to stay on track with my eating plan is to write out the menu for the next week. This also helps with couponing and budgeting for our food. I sit down on Sundays with the newspaper ads and coupons, write out what I want to make, and then check the fridge and pantry for what we need for the meals.
My system is good but it isn’t the best. So when I heard about Meet Me At The Dinner Table I knew that I’d found something that I could make work!
The concept behind Meet Me At The Dinner Table was one I was instantly drawn to. Jessica, the founder, wants every family together five nights a week to eat a meal together.By simply planning ahead, taking the time to write things down, and coming up with a schedule your family can not only eat regularly together at home but you can save money as well by having all of the ingredients on hand to make amazing meals.
Jessica starts simple by having you outline the three main goals you may have, creating a staples list of things you would like to keep stocked in your home (including basic ingredients to make dinners in a pinch), and a tried and true meal list.
From there you go through the meal planner to create an amazing collection of grocery lists, meal plans, and recipes all in one area! Not only saving you time during your busy week but giving no excuses to cooking at home. And by cooking at home each family can expect to save money!
And each week you follow the meal planner will only make the next week easier! Pretty soon you will have an amazing selection of recipes and easy go-to grocery lists to pick up everything your family might need for the week.
Take a peek at a few more pages from inside the Meal Planner here. You’ll see how simple and brilliantly laid out this planner is. The best part about this meal planning guide is the fact that it’s keeping me on track with my weight loss. I not only plan healthy meals out for the week, I actually eat what I say I’m going to make!
With Weight Watchers being able to plug in a recipe once and be able to plan ahead with what points I’m going to use throughout the week for dinner (and leftovers for lunch) I save even more time figuring out the points I’ve consumed. This would also work great if you’re following a certain diet or removing anything from your current diet.
By planning ahead, all of the ingredients and recipes are planned out and one night’s meal can be turned into another if needed. Roasted chicken one night can become enchiladas the next, Pork roast can be pulled pork sandwiches. And since everything is written down I’m more apt to follow it and stick to my plan.

I have been meaning to make a weekly meal plan for years but I am very unorganized. This would help me A LOT!
This is so pretty! Much better than my yellow note pad! I hope I win!
Sounds so helpful.
This is a good system. Once a busy parent gets used to working with it, it will definitely simplify life and weight loss. One of my biggest pitfalls is running late on fixing a meal and just grabbing what is easy which is not always the most nutritious meal.
I will be checking out this product.
This would really help take our the wondering of what to cook for dinner! As a full time working mom that’s the challenge.
The eggplant looks delicious, I need to do something like this because last night I was perplexed on what to make for dinner.
