Ella’s Kitchen {Review & Giveaway}

The one company I got the most excited about when I saw they were at BlogHer ’11 had to be Ella’s Kitchen. Their little fruit pouches are among the top favorite choices when my kids reach into the snack shelf and are my go to meal to grab for my 13 month old when we’re out and about. Not only are they convenient but they’re organic and healthy to boot!

Now normally I would just purchase apple crushers from Trader Joe’s but since learning about Ella’s Kitchen and the vast array of varieties they offer I’ve since started purchasing the little pouches pictured above. From the age of 7 months until now my little one has loved the taste of her Ella’s Kitchen food pouches (see her below at 7 months).

The Story Behind The Company

I set up Ella’s Kitchen because I passionately believe that Ella, my 12 year old daughter, along with her generation, should have the opportunity to eat better food and also to discover that healthy food can be fun, tasty and cool.

We think it’s important to always approach things from a child’s point of view. So, we’ve taken simple, natural ingredients that ooze goodness and created baby foods, and packaging, that should really connect with kids – with flavours, colours, textures and even names that will appeal to all of their senses.

We have 12 ranges at the moment: first tastes, stage 1 baby food, stage 2 baby food, stage 3 toddler food, fruit + baby rice, baby brekkie, nibbly fingers, yum yummy cookies, stacks of sticks, cooking sauce, pasta + rice and smoothie fruits! We’re always thinking of yummy new ranges to add to our family of yummy 100% organic foods!

The latest and greatest in Ella’s Kitchen are their Baby Brekkie varieties. Each Baby Brekkie contains fruit, cereal and yogurt. It’s basically a full meal in a pouch for your little one. This makes mornings on the go extremely easy in this home. My daughter’s favorite of the Raisin & Prune, Banana, Blueberry & Pear, and Mango flavors is definitely the Blueberry and Pear Brekkie. She always grabs for it when I offer her the choice at the store.

Inside each Brekkie you’ll find:

  • NO added water
  • NO preservatives or thickeners
  • NO E numbers or GM
  • NO gluten or wheat
  • NO lumps or bits and nothing artificial
  • JUST yummy organic food for babies
  • Unsweetened and unsalted
  • Contains naturally occurring sugars
